Eduardo Coutinho e a teoria do “cinema de conversa”
Abstract
The paper analyzes the cinema of Eduardo Coutinho through the notion of “cinema of conversation,” understood as a documentary mode in which orality, listening, and bodily presence organize the narrative structure and the mise en scène. Grounded in the Theory of Filmmakers, it articulates Coutinho’s own reflections and employs spectral images of the soundtrack to observe how voices manifest and acquire aesthetic depth in documentary films.
