El rostro en la imagen, la imagen sin rostro: pobreza y vulnerabilidad en fotografías periodísticas sobre el programa Bolsa-Familia

El objetivo de este texto es reflexionar sobre la vulnerabilidad y de la vocalización de una demanda ética hecha por la alteridad, implicándonos en una relación de responsabilidad ante el rostro. Tal concepto, derivado del pensamiento de Emmanuel Lévinas y retomado por Judith Butler, es aquí utilizada en el análisis de imágenes fotoperiodísticas referentes al programa Bolsa-Familia. El corpus de la investigación cuenta con un total de 120 imágenes, colectadas entre los años de 2003 y 2015en periódicos de gran circulación nacional, como Folha de S. Paulo, Estado de S. Paulo y O Globo. Para investigar la dimensión política y ética de esas imágenes, ellas fueron agrupadas en dos ejes principales de significación: a) imágenes sin rostro: en ellas el rostro no logra hacer su aparición aunque la cara humana esté retratada; b) el rostro en la imagen / el rostro de la imagen: en ellas el rostro se presenta como un llamamiento que nos es dirigido y nos alerta para la precariedad y vulnerabilidad de la vida del otro y de nuestra propia vida.
