Abstract

This article corresponds to the initial results of a research on women in Brazilian cinema as directors, which, when finalized, will be published in a book. In it I present a brief overview of the participation of black filmmakers in the Brazilian cinematographic scene, I draw attention to the absence of a gender and ethnic diversity in this scenario.
