Parto humanizado, empoderamento feminino e combate à violência: uma análise do documentário O renascimento do parto
Abstract
This article aims to analyse the narratives of the Brazilian documentary O renascimento do parto/Birth reborn. With a multi-purpose and non-dominant reading, I aim to understand how the discourses about obstetric violence, modern knowledge and technology, institutionalization and control over the body, over the life (biopower), are deconstructed by the “back to the primitive”, to the natural, to the humanized, to the sensitive experience and by the women empowerment.
Keywords: obstetric violence; women empowerment; natural childbirth; Modernity; Post-modernity; documentary cinema.
