Performance e Verdade em Jogo de Cena (2007), de Eduardo Coutinho
Uma Análise da Performatividade e da Ética da Representação no Documentário Brasileiro
Abstract
This article analyzes the film Jogo de Cena (2007) by Eduardo Coutinho, reconfiguring the ethical and aesthetic parameters of contemporary documentary. The radical device (staging of women's testimonies by actresses) shifts the search for factual truth to performative truthfulness. The analysis explores the device's genealogy, the economy of performances, and the ethical reflection (Distribution of the Sensible, Autobiographical Pact). The article argues that the work is a philosophical treatise on the performative nature of identity and the profound responsibility inherent in acts of representation.
