Memory and Artistic Writing in Des spectres hantent l´Europe

Abstract

In 2016, poet Niki Giannari visits the Idomeni refugee camp in Thessaloniki, Greece. He writes and publishes the poem Des spectres hantent l ́Europe. That same year, in association with filmmaker Maria Kourkouta, he made a documentary of the same name, which will be reread a year later by Georges Didi-Huberman in an ensaistic publication. The present work is an analysis of the three effects of these pieces.
