Documentaries of Encounters Between Women
Abstract
The article seeks to understand how encounters between women are established in Latin American documentary works, simultaneously as a mode of narrative inscription and documentary creation. The self-director mediates a relationship between the other's narrative and the negotiation of oneself in the film, which outlines different modes of narrative inscription through the encounter: mirroring and confrontation. In this way, facilitating a discussion on politics, gender, and feminism in the documentary field.
