Documentário clássico e a voz que não vemos: revisitando as noções de “voz de Deus” e “voz over”

Resumo

O artigo revisita as noções de “voz de Deus” e “voz over” no âmbito do
filme documentário clássico. A partir de fontes fílmicas e textuais primárias, busca-se demonstrar que tais expressões, por não suportarem as variadas perspectivas estilísticas e éticas do documentário clássico, devem ser reproblematizadas, apontando para a existência de um campo mais complexo e diverso naquilo que envolve a presença da voz.

Renan Paiva Chaves, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes, Departamento de Cinema.

Tenho me dedicado aos estudos do som no filme documentário desde 2010. Possuo graduação em Música pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2012), com intercâmbio no Instituto Superior de Musica da Universidad Nacional del Litoral (2010), mestrado em Multimeios pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2015) e desenvolvo tese de doutorado em Multimeios na Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Sou membro do Centro de Pesquisas de Cinema Documentário (CEPECIDOC) e do Grupo de Pesquisa em Música e Sound Design aplicados à Dramaturgia. Entre 2017 e 2018 fui pesquisador visitante na Monash University (Arts Research Graduate School, Faculty of Arts).
